Doggie D'Tail was started by Theresa Rogers in 2006 in West Terre Haute, Indiana.

Dave and Autumn Ridenour owned and operated a horse training and boarding business in Goshen, Ohio. After moving to Dave's hometown of West Terre Haute, Indiana in 2010, Autumn started her grooming career at PetSmart, attending grooming academy becoming a certified Professional Groomer. She left to become self employed in 2013. Autumn Ridenour started working for the company in 2014 and became the owner of Doggie D'Tail in  May,  2017.
